Lance Armstrong’s doping case manifests that drug testing is not sophisticated

Lance Armstrong was denying taking doping products for years. Although he was accused of administering prohibited drugs many times, he continued to claim that he never applied banned preparations. Even when the USADA proved that the cyclist doped, he lied about doping. But ultimately, Lance Armstrong decided to admit to applying EPO, testosterone and blood transfusions.
Although many sportspersons administered performance-enhancing drugs and avoided detection successfully, there was anything uncommon in the doping case of the legendary American cyclist. Lance Armstrong achieved great success in sports. He won Tour de France races 7 consecutive times. He obtained also some other awards. The American cyclist obtained worldwide success. Although he submitted to thousands drug tests, he never tested positive for any prohibited medication.
Of course, Lance Armstrong is not the only sportsperson who has doped. Sportspersons have taken forbidden medicines during past years. They continue to administer anabolic steroids and other related products today. And professional sportspersons will use them in future. Usage of anabolic steroids and other doping products is spread in professional sports. Almost each sportsperson takes prohibited medications. While several sportspersons test positive for forbidden drugs and get bans, others are not caught.
As for the attitude towards Lance Armstrong’s doping, it’s mainly negative. Many individuals got great anger, when the legendary cyclist admitted to taking EPO, the steroid testosterone and blood transfusions. Numerous individuals believed in him. They thought that Lance Armstrong competed “cleanly”. That’s why their disappointment was significant.
And what is about “clean” sports? Anti-doping officials should think about this issue. While anti-doping agencies claim that they have sophisticated tests to eradicate doping from sports, a lot of sportspersons apply steroids and/or other doping products and avoid detection.
While the legendary cyclist has admitted to taking forbidden medications, anti-doping officials should acknowledge that their programs are weak.

Steroid use in professional sports

Przemyslaw Saleta’s attitude to Lance Armstrong’s steroid use differs from that of thousands individuals. The polish boxer doesn’t condemn the American cyclist. Przemyslaw Saleta claims that Lance Armstrong has acted like almost every professional sportsperson. The 7-time Tour de France winner has applied forbidden preparations and cheated about his doping. Nothing is surprising. Almost every sportsperson applied anabolic steroids and other doping products.
While numerous athletes that administer prohibited drugs are caught by anti-doping agencies and sentenced to bans, Lance Armstrong has never tested positive for any prohibited drug. He could avoid detection, despites of having been subjected to thousands drug tests. Undoubtedly, Lance Armstrong is not the only athlete that has avoided detection successfully. Let take Chinese sportspersons as an example! The state sponsors them. The state provides money enough to get such products which are undetectable. So, a lot of Chinese athletes administer doping products without being detected. It becomes evident that athletes that have much money may use doping products and avoid detection. Lance Armstrong tuned out to be just one of such sportspersons.
Przemyslaw Saleta has an unusual proposal. He thinks that steroids and other related preparations should be legalized in professional sports. According to this athlete, steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs are not dangerous for health, if they are taken by adults that possess sufficient information about methods to consume them properly. Przemyslaw Saleta believes that usage of steroids and other related products by sportspersons should be monitored by health care providers. Thus, athletes are likely to prevent grave side results.
Furthermore, Przemyslaw Saleta considers that steroids and other doping products are indispensible in such sports, as cycling. Cycling is a sport where sportspersons have to endure very extreme conditions while training and competing. Thus, anabolic steroids and other related products help cyclists to maintain health in better conditions. Cycling in itself is dangerous without steroids and other related drugs.
But Przemyslaw Saleta underlines that anabolic steroids and other related drugs should be forbidden in amateur sports. Moreover, young athletes must not be also permitted to take these products because they may cause significant harm in them. Teenagers must not administer such products because they may get grave adverse results.
Nevertheless, Przemyslaw Saleta claims that it is wrong to suppose that anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs represent the key to success. According to the polish boxer, success can be obtained with the help of hard working.

Health officials should punish pharmaceutical companies for illegal actions harshly

A lot of drug manufacturers violate laws. But only some of them are sanctioned properly. A lot of compounding pharmacies avoid serious sanctions successfully. But only when serious scandals result from illicit actions of pharmaceutical companies, they are sentenced to appropriate penalties. For example, everyone is aware of the meningitis outbreak which has spread across the country because of tainted steroids produced by a Massachusetts compounding pharmacy. Undoubtedly, owners and officers of the company will be punished appropriately. But when illicit activities of drug manufacturers don’t result in such serious troubles, they continue with their business successfully.
Journalists report about illegal actions linked with steroids, painkillers and other prescription medications daily. But you may see that pharmaceutical companies get only insignificant sentencing for illicit sale of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. So, sportspersons and bodybuilders have free access to doping products. They purchase steroids and other related medications from pharmaceutical companies and use them for athletic needs. Moreover, some compounding pharmacies provide fake prescriptions for anabolic-androgenic steroids. Corrupt doctors supply customers of compounding pharmacies with prescriptions which are given without required evaluation of customers’ personal conditions.
Pharmaceutical companies are responsible not only for illicit distribution of steroids. Several pharmaceutical companies produce medicines in unsterile conditions. As a result, numerous persons get tainted medicines and experience serious complications, using  these preparations. Several individuals even die from contamination resulted from intake of contaminated preparations. As you are possibly informed, 39 individuals died because of fungal meningitis resulted from contaminated methylprednisolone acetate injections.
The late contamination with fungal meningitis should influence on decisions of appropriate authorities. Criminal penalties should take place. Otherwise, health of many persons is in a serious danger. Prescription medicines must be sold just under real prescriptions. All products must be produced in sterile conditions. If drug manufacturers don’t obey all laws, they must be sanctioned. They must not be allowed to continue with business, if they violate laws. Forfeiture of licenses should be accompanied by other serious sanctions.

Steroids caused testicular cancer in Lance Armstrong

However the American cyclist Lance Armstrong has already lost his Tour de France titles and other awards, his steroid scandal is still hotly debated. Numerous indidivuals are still expressing their attitudes to this case. Not only his alleged intake of doping products is disputed but some individuals also speak about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer. Why has Lance Armstrong experienced this health problem in his young years? What has caused this disease in him?
Whoopi Goldberg, a famous American actress is also involved in debates linked with Lance Armstrong’s steroid scandal. While she has been chiefly involved in discussions linked with marijuana and other related drugs, now she has chosen to join those that fight against anabolic steroids and other doping products.
According to Whoopi Goldberg, Lance Armstrong has experienced testicular cancer because of steroids. The actress claims that anabolic-androgenic steroids are likely to lead to cancer. She argues that these preparations may promote appearing and developing cancer. Whoopi Goldberg thinks that experts should inform people about possible tights between anabolic steroids and cancer. The actress notices that experts can determine whether steroids have sickened Lance Armstrong.
But what do other celebrated persons think about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer? Bob Weiner, a celebrated political commentator, notes that anyone should be very cautious while supposing that steroids are responsible for development of cancer. This man acknowledges that these preparations cause numerous adverse reactions which are quite harmful for users’ health and even life. But he notices that it is uncommon to blame steroids for cancer. Such suggestions are serious. Bob Weiner considers that this issue has nothing to do with anti-doping morality.
Nonetheless, Bob Weiner is inclined to believe that Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer has been caused by anabolic steroids. This illness normally doesn’t occur in young men. Why then has Lance Armstrong got it? Since scientific literature supposes that connections between cancer and steroid use may exist, Bob Weiner doesn’t deny affirmations of Whoopi Goldberg.
But as it has been already noticed, this issue is not included in those of anti-doping programs. Anti-doping officers focus on morality and they don’t care about protection of sportspeople’s health.

Steroid abuse

Drug manufacturers are inclined to illegal activities. A lot of companies produce and distribute counterfeit medications. As a result, consumers don’t acquire desired benefits. Moreover, fake medications may cause dangerous unusual side reactions in consumers. In addition to these illicit operations, drug manufacturers also distribute prescription medicines illegally. Anabolic steroids, HGH, painkillers and other medications are sold without any prescription. So, a lot of persons administer these drugs for non-therapeutic purposes. Anabolic-androgenic steroids and other doping products are widely taken for athletic goals. Sportspeople and bodybuilders buy and apply these drugs in order to enhance muscle mass and get strength. Numerous individuals desire to be more muscular and combat fatigue during workouts and competitions. That’s why they choose to apply anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Certain other individuals try to look more beautiful/handsome. So, they apply certain prescription preparations for anti-aging purposes.
Anabolic steroids, HGH and other performance-enhancing drugs are widely available at online drug stores. Certain companies even hire corrupt doctors who supply users with proper prescriptions. These doctors provide prescriptions without needed examination of clients and even without seeing them. Obtaining prescriptions, many individuals buy anabolic steroids and other related products and administer them for non-therapeutic needs.
However distribution and intake of anabolic steroids for non-therapeutic needs are forbidden under laws of many countries, a lot of pharmacies avoid penalties successfully. While certain companies and persons are found guilty of illegal actions linked with medicines, they are rarely punished appropriately. Moreover, they continue to manufacture and sell anabolic steroids illegally.
Another problem linked with illegal manufacture and distribution of anabolic steroids and other related drugs is following: certain pharmacies manufacture medications in unsterile conditions. Thus, individuals that administer such drugs may be contaminated with several diseases. Sometimes contamination with a serious disease may be fatal for several consumers. The meningitis outbreak which has lately occurred in the USA is widely known around the world. 39 individuals died because they got tainted steroid injections. Thus, proper officials should monitor manufacture of medicines. If safety is not at the needed level, health of users is in a great danger.

NECC had to be sentenced to severe penalties earlier

In 2003 the FDA had in mind to shut down the New England Compounding Center (NECC) which lately caused the meningitis outbreak in several states of America. The Massachusetts pharmacy manufactured contaminated Methylprednisolone Acetate injections. Over 400 persons that administered the contaminated steroid injections were sickened with fungal meningitis. This disease turned out to be tragic for 39 individuals.
According to a late report published by the House of Energy and Commerce Committee, the meningitis outbreak could have been prevented. The report disclosed numerous cases related to the Massachusetts pharmacy that should have been closed by the FDA earlier.
The FDA stated in 2003 that the NECC should not have manufactured drugs till improving of the situation. But ultimately the FDA didn’t prohibit manufacture of products at the NECC. Since the NECC was considered to be a pharmacy, it should have been monitored by Massachusetts officials. So, the FDA let Massachusetts colleagues to resolve the problem. As for Massachusetts officials, they didn’t prohibit manufacture of drugs at once. The NECC continued to produce medicines. Just Barry Cadden, the owner of the pharmacy, received reprimand.
Furthermore, the NECC was guilty of some illicit operations. The company acted inappropriately under its license. Being a pharmacy, the NECC acted as a manufacturer and sent thousands dosages of medicines to hospitals and individual patients.
In 2002 several individuals suffered from unusual side reactions after they had applied bethamethasone injections manufactured by the Massachusetts pharmacy.
Later several individuals who administered methylprednisolone acetate injections produced by the Massachusetts pharmacy were contaminated with bacterial meningitis. Since these individuals got complete recovery because of antibiotics, the case was forgotten. The NECC was not punished for the contaminated products.
These and even certain other cases show that the NECC should have sanctioned earlier. The NECC should have been shut down for its illicit and improper actions. But the Massachusetts pharmacy was never sentenced to any serious penalties. As a result, the pharmacy continued to produce preparations which were dangerous for consumers’ health. Finally, the meningitis outbreak caused by tainted injections of the Massachusetts pharmacy spread to several states and sickened a lot of persons. If the pharmacy had been closed earlier, the contamination with deadly fungal meningitis would not have occurred.

Tennessee health officials should be awarded

The meningitis outbreak caused by contaminated epidural steroid injections could have been avoided. But since the FDA didn’t use its power for this purpose suitably, more than 500 individuals were contaminated with this disease and 39 recipients of the steroids died.
Tennessee officials turned out to show competence under such circumstances. They were praised by legislators for their decisive actions.
It was reported that many individuals that had received steroid injections produced by the NECC suffered from complications. When Tennessee health officials were informed about this situation, they enforced all health facilities to discontinue using medicines manufactured by the compounding center from Massachusetts. Furthermore, they informed immediately about contamination health officials of other states. Actions of Tennessee health officials were rapid and decisive. They didn’t hesitate and did everything in order to prevent further contamination and improve help those that were already contaminated with meningitis.
If Tennessee health officials hadn’t acted so rapidly and competently, more persons would have been contaminated with fungal meningitis and more deaths would have been.
When it comes to the FDA, it showed incompetence. It didn’t utilize its authority decisively in order to improve the situation. Then it attempted to justify its negligence, saying that its power was not cleared and established enough to influence on such large-scale compounding pharmacies, as the NECC. But legislators didn’t accept the FDA’s excuse.
Tennessee health officials deserve to acquire a gold medal for their actions.
Although certain individuals consider that they could avoid contamination, warnings about certain risks continue to exist. Many persons are still hospitalized. Others are visited by health officials. If any side effects occur at injection sites of those who have introduced the contaminated steroids, they should call doctors immediately.

NECC was tested by FDA

It is widely reported about the meningitis outbreak which has occurred in several states of America. Contaminated Methylprednisolone Acetate injections led to fungal meningitis in over 500 individuals. The contamination turned out to be tragic for 39 individuals: they died. The majority of deaths occurred in Tennessee.
It was noted that contaminated steroid injections had been produced by the New England Compounding Center (NECC) which is based in Massachusetts. The FDA tested the company in order to determine what led to contamination and see the situation at the NECC. It was confirmed by the FDA that the contaminated steroid injections were indeed produced by this compounding pharmacy.
The FDA told the Associated Press that it was evident that manufacture of products was unsterile at the NECC. The FDA noted that leaking water and uncontrolled temperature were only certain problems at the pharmacy. The equipment applied for manufacture of solution for injections was unsterile.
Furthermore, the FDA stated that there were certain other contaminants. Some bacterial contaminants were found at the pharmacy. However these contaminants were not real pathogens, they were able to result in infection too. These bacterial contaminants were found in such products, as Betamethasone and Triamcinolone. There were not any situations reported about contamination caused by application of these products. But it was underlined that these products could also result in contamination. Although the bacterial contaminants presented anywhere in the environment, they had not to be in medicines. This fact pointed at unsterile conditions at the NECC and confirmed that the Methylprednisolone Acetate injections turned out to be contaminated with fungal meningitis because they were prepared in inappropriate conditions.
The situation made it clear that new laws on compounding pharmacies should be established. Contamination should be avoided. Otherwise, public health is in danger in the USA.

Barry Larkin urges young athletes not to use steroids

The retired MLB player Barry Larkin notes about his negative attitude to sportspeople that have ever used steroids and/or other forbidden preparations. He claims that such baseball players who have ever been associated with performance-enhancing drugs must not enter the Baseball Hall of Fame. To be in the Hall of Fame is the highest honor that is gotten by baseball players. Barry Larkin has been elected for the Hall of Fame last year. He considers that dopers should not get the highest honor. They should see that they have made a serious mistake, when they have made a decision to take steroids and/or other related medicines. Their decision points that they should be out of this club forever.
Barry Larkin belongs to the most successful baseball players. He has won some awards, while playing baseball professionally.
Barry Larkin also notices about Pete Rose that is kept out of the Baseball Hall of Fame. This player has gambled on baseball games. That’s why he has been banned from professional baseball for the whole life. Thus, he doesn’t have any possibility to be introduced to the Hall of Fame. Barry Larkin claims that those that have ever taken forbidden preparations should receive similar suspension. They must not be in the Hall of Fame.
Barry Larkin has played during the steroid era. He doesn’t desire to blame those that have played with and against him. He doesn’t make hasty conclusions about other baseball players. Barry Larkin notices that no any sportsman should be blamed, if his guilt has not been proven. He remains to be innocent until it will be evident that he has really applied steroids and/or other related preparations.
Barry Larkin also participates in teaching young athletes about risks associated with administration of anabolic steroids. He has formed a charity foundation that has been called after his name. So, the former successful baseball player puts substantial efforts to make baseball clean. He convinces young athletes not to apply steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Barry Larkin wants to see baseball drug-free.

Dana White: Anderson Silva will face George St-Pierre

The UFC president Dana White continues to claim that the fight between Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre will take place. Although Anderson Silva has said that he is not interested in the fight, Dana White doesn’t lose his hope. The UFC president declares that the fight between these individuals will occur before Anderson Silva ends his athletic career.
Anderson Silva will also face Jon Jones. But now Jon Jones trains in order to fight against Chael Sonnen. The fight is scheduled to be in April this year.
Since Anderson Silva and St-Pierre don’t express any antipathy to each other, fans want more fervently to see the fight between Anderson Silva and Jon Jones.
During interviews both Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre have argued that they don’t want to face one another. Nevertheless, Dana White notes that he is aware of the real situation. He says that while Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre say that they don’t desire to face each other in the ring, it isn’t true. The UFC president states that completely opposite words are pronounced behind the scenes. In addition to these conditions, Anderson Silva never refuses fans’ proposals. The fighter always does what he should do.
Dana White praises Anderson Silva. He says that this fighter has unbelievable abilities. Anderson Silva has showed his splendid performance numerous times.
It is interesting to mention that Anderson Silva has defeated Stephan Bonnar who has taken steroids.
Speaking about the fight against Anderson Silva, Stephan Bonnar claimed that his opponent displayed amazing skills. He added that Anderson Silva defeated him totally. He felt as if he hadn’t won any fight. So, Stephan Bonnar lost the fight, despites of his usage of forbidden drugs.
The UFC president doesn’t discontinue admiring of Anderson Silva. The UFC president is sure that the fighter evaluates his skills correctly and he knows that he can win any match. That’s why Anderson Silva is ready to face any fighter anytime.

Ambiguity should be disposed from rules on pharmacies

The fungal meningitis outbreak which started in September last year had obvious influence upon America. Contaminated injectable steroids were produced by the New England Compounding Center (based in Massachusetts) and introduced by a lot of persons. As a result, over 400 individuals were contaminated with fungal meningitis in over 20 states. 39 persons contaminated with this illness died. 14 deaths occurred in Tennessee.
It became obvious that it was necessary to do anything for prevention of such cases. Contamination must not occur in future. The FDA had to meet with representatives of all states in order to discuss this situation. So, lately a meeting took place in order to find ways linked with prevention of contamination in the future.
It was noticed during the conference that new rules on compounding pharmacies should be elaborated.
Representatives of some states specified that they did proper job in their states and no any individual experienced troubles related to contamination. Furthermore, they noted critically that they were not aware of what happened in other states.
When it comes to the FDA, its authority over such situations is not established appropriately. Federal court cases that were during past years cut the authority of the FDA substantially. Furthermore, several laws seem to be unclear.
Margaret Hamburg, the FDA Commissioner, offered to improve the situation through the following modifications:
- to control training of state regulators;
- to induce sharing information between the FDA and states;
- to remove ambiguity from laws.

These points seem to be justifiable. Such changes must help to induce improving public health of Americans. Undoubtedly, if laws contain ambiguity, no any agreement will be achieved. That’s why new laws should be elaborated and existing laws should be altered.
The FDA believes that state regulators will coact with it in order to prevent producing and shipping contaminated medications.

Lance Armstrong has played great role in history of sports

Another year has gone away. Thinking about 2012, what will you note about sports? Which names will you pronounce? Will you say about amazing baseball players? Will you note about the dishonored American cyclist Lance Armstrong? Will you say about the London Olympics? Will you mention about concussions of football players? Will you say about suicides committed by certain professional football players? What will you notice about Melky Cabrera?
Undoubtedly, anyone will remember the case linked with Lance Armstrong while speaking about sports of 2012. Every individual will notice about the role of steroids in cycling and in other sports. Any person will note about probable adverse reactions of steroids applied for muscle and strength gains. Any person interested in sports will remember what reporters have presented about anabolic steroids, cheating in sports and numerous ways of athletes to succeed in professional sports.
Thinking about sports of 2012, you will possibly comment the steroid era in baseball and integrity of this sport. You will also mention about dreadful deeds of Jerry Sandusky and his coaching career at Penn State.
But let think what future generations will remember. What will historians comment one hundred years later? Will they focus on stories about James LeBron, Melky Cabrera and Jerry Sandusky? Will they remember concussions of professional football players? Although they will possibly talk over these cases, the most heat debates will be linked with Lance Armstrong’s steroid scandal. This is a case which will be never forgotten. A lot of individuals will remember achievements of Lance Armstrong in cycling and his further downfall. Of course, they will also notice about his foundation Livestrong and influence of his ashamed reputation upon the charity organization. They will remember that application of steroids led Lance Armstrong to loss of Tour de France titles, distancing from the foundation Livestrong and certain other problems. The legendary cyclist will be ever in the memory of the American society.

May steroid users enter Baseball Hall of Fame?

Fans of baseball and numerous other persons seem to be anxious by results of voting for the Hall of Fame. Some great players have not been elected for the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is not surprisingly that you also ask why they have not been supported. Under rules of voting, those that have shown brilliant baseball abilities and contributed to their teams evidentially should be elected. It goes without saying that such baseball players, as Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro, Mark McGwire and certain other persons have shown amazing skills and accomplishments while playing professionally. Why haven’t they entered the Baseball Hall of Fame?
Many voters affirm that they will never support those that have ever been related to anabolic steroids and/or other doping products. Dopers should be sanctioned. Future generations should understand that they will never actually have success in sports, if they take doping products.
What would you do, if you were a voter? Would you support consumers of steroids?
Actually, voters never possess entire information about admitted and suspected steroid users. You can’t prove that Roger Clemens has really taken doping products. Many persons have suspicions but there is no any proof. Why should voters refuse to support him? Are they sure that he has applied anabolic steroids and other banned drugs? –No, they aren’t. That’s why it is wrong to keep Roger Clemens out of the Baseball Hall of Fame just because of suspicions.
While several voters are ready to support suspected consumers of steroids, they state that they will never vote for an admitted consumer of steroids. However it seems to be fair, let review the situation better! Have steroids played any substantial role in success of certain baseball player? For example, if even Roger Clemens has taken performance-enhancing drugs, it is possible to convince anyone that he has succeeded not because of steroids. Great accomplishment of this celebrated baseball player have been displayed before his alleged steroid use. According to several affirmations, Roger Clemens has administered steroids since 1998 and then in 2000 and 2001.  But the most amazing accomplishments have been done by him before 1998. Thus, nobody can affirm that anabolic steroids have helped Roger Clemens to succeed in professional baseball. That’s why he should be in the Hall of Fame.
Moreover, why are a lot of persons inclined to blame just consumers of steroids? Isn’t it the society that presses sportspeople to start using steroids and other related medications?

Chances of steroid users to be in Baseball Hall of Fame

Some members of the Baseball Hall of Fame affirm that consumers of steroids must never be in their club. They affirm that such baseball players, as Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens don’t deserve to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. They are very glad that these athletes didn’t receive needed percentage of voting to enter the Hall of Fame. According to them, it is correct. They think that otherwise our kids get confused. They will think that they are allowed to take anabolic steroids and whatever they want and remain unpunished. So, it would be a negative example for future generations. Al Kaline, Goose Gossage and some others that belong to the Baseball Hall of Fame have this point of view. They even note about cycling, as a good example to follow.
What happened actually in cycling? The prominent American cyclist was accused of taking prohibited medicines. As a result, he was deprived of his 7 Tour de France titles and sentenced to life-time ban.
Thus, some members of the Baseball Hall of Fame claim that cycling is a good example for baseball. Baseball players that are found guilty of doping should be excluded from this sport totally. Record books must not contain information about success of those that have been caught using banned substances. Those that have cheated should be punished properly.
Nonetheless, not every member of the Baseball Hall of Fame has similar opinion. For example, Juan Marichal supports Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, etc. He says that these baseball players should be elected for the Hall of Fame. These sportspersons are stars in baseball. Nobody could prove that they have really applied doping products. Since there is no any proof, suspicions cost nothing.
Under rules connected with voting for the Hall of Fame, baseball players that have great abilities and those that have contributed to their teams essentially should be enter the Hall of Fame.  Nobody doubts that Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were great players. They made significant contributions to their teams. That’s why they should enter the Hall of Fame.

Angel “Memo” Hernandez refuses to reveal his methods on muscle and strength gains

Every fan saw that the body of the American boxer Juan Manuel Marquez had been changed obviously. What caused such significant changes in the sportsperson?
Since Juan Manuel Marquez is linked to the admitted steroid dealer Angel “Memo” Hernandez, a lot of persons think that the boxer’s muscles have been increased because of steroids and/or other related medications. Angel “Memo” Hernandez has been employed as a strength coach of Juan Manuel Marquez. This man was related to the BALCO scandal. As it was found out, this person supplied a lot of elite athletes with steroids and other related preparations. He presented information about several athletes who obtained prohibited drugs from him.
Finding out that Angel “Memo” Hernandez has been a distributor of steroids, a lot of persons believe that he provides performance-enhancing drugs to Juan Manuel Marquez. Certain suspicions and even accusations were pronounced by Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer. Freddie Roach claimed that it would be well to subject the both boxers Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao to drug testing before the fight.
Actually, Freddie Roach’s suspicions were not based on any drug evidence. He focused only on increased muscles of Juan Manuel Marquez.
Later Manny Pacquiao’s trainer claimed that he didn’t mean anything serious. He said that he was just joking.
Angel “Memo” Hernandez noted that he was not just a coach. Since he is a scientist, he possesses great knowledge. He knows the best ways to increase muscles and add strength. Angel “Memo” Hernandez claims that he knows the methods to do it legally. No any illegal drug is included in his methods. But he doesn’t want to reveal the ways. The coach claims that this is a secret.
As for Juan Manuel Marquez, he affirmed that he never took any forbidden product. He said that it was not drugs that caused his dramatic transformation. Furthermore, he added that weight was not the chief factor while fighting. According to the boxer, a fighter should have intelligence, speed and strength in order to succeed.
Neither Juan Manuel Marquez, nor Manny Pacquiao was tested for prohibited medicines before the fight. Such tests are usually conducted by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after matches.
