Jeffrey George is the founder of a former popular clinic related to hormone replacement therapy. The clinic was called “South Beach Rejuvenation”. Jeffrew George was accused in illegal distribution of anabolic steroids. As it was noted by investigators, he began todistribute controlled substances through his clinic illegally. But in fact the owner of “South Beach Rejuvenation” was involved in illegal activity of pain clinics located in Florida. Jeffrey George sold steroids via internet.
George and his twin brother Chris were leaders of a pain clinic activity. They got 40 million dollars due to illegal sales of oxycodone and other analgesics during 2 years. This resulted in their several charges. Jeffrey George faced also a charge of a murder because a client of “South Beach Rejuvenation” had died due to overdosing.
Jeffrey George hid his illegal activity through his clinic “South Beach Rejuvenation”. Anabolic steroids were advertising on the internet and in various magazines linked with fitness as a part of treatment conducted by the clinic.
It was not the first arrest of George due to steroids. He was charged with possession of anabolic steroids , intending to distribute them in 2003. This person was sentenced to eight-month imprisonment. Then Jeffrey George was involved in illegal distribution of anabolic steroids, intending to bypass Florida’s laws that allowed clinics to prescribe and sell steroids legally. This man didn’t have any medical education. But he founded the clinic “South Beach Rejuvenation” and employed several physicians who prescribed steroids without any fear. One of his employees was Daniel Hauser. This doctor got 5, 000 dollars per week for prescriptions of steroids for clients of “South Beach Rejuvenation”.
Since steroids were sold over internet and customers lived far from the clinic, they were required to perform certain tests in clinics that were located near to them. Then they filled results of lab tests in the certain blanks and sent to the “South Beach Rejuvenation” per internet. Hauser wrote them prescriptions.
Numerous sales consultants of the clinic applied anabolic steroids too. Moreover, they purchased large amounts of steroids with prescriptions and sold them on the side. Chris, George’s brother, helped his friend, Chris Hutson, financially to establish a clinic to sell steroids. Thus, “LA Health and Rejuvenation” was opened.
Cynthia Cadet and Robert Meek were two physicians who were employed by Hutson to prescribe anabolic steroids. They were paid 1, 000 dollars per week.
The owners of these clinics and physicians employed by them were indicted on some charges, including illegal distribution of anabolic steroids and prescriptions per internet.
