Steroid use didn’t represent any problem in bodybuilding, when Arnold Schwarzenegger competed

Arnold Schwarzenegger administered anabolic steroids. These drugs helped him to have success. The prominent bodybuilder acknowledged that he succeeded because of these medications obviously. But he also noted that other competitive bodybuilders administered these medications too. He was aware of the fact that all top athletes and bodybuilders administered anabolic steroids. If Arnold Schwarzenegger had not taken performance-enhancing drugs, other bodybuilders would have had unfair advantage over him.
Although the prominent bodybuilder admitted to usage of steroids, he never apologized. Application of these preparations was not forbidden, when Arnold Schwarzenegger competed. Intake of steroids and other related products didn’t represent any problem in bodybuilding during that time.
Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed that he didn’t know about risks linked with usage of these preparations. But he also added that earlier bodybuilders didn’t apply enhanced doses like current bodybuilders.  That’s why it was not dangerous to administer these drugs.
Nowadays it is necessary to take in consideration that sportspersons and bodybuilders use very increased dosages that may have negative impact on health. Intake of increased doses normally results in serious permanent adverse reactions. That’s why Arnold Schwarzenegger is against application of steroids for performance-enhancing effects. Dosages that were administered by the famous bodybuilder were lower by 20 times than those applied by current bodybuilders. That’s why Arnold Schwarzenegger worked together with International Federation of Bodybuilders against application of doping products in competitive bodybuilding.
